Villa Livia: How to Create a Distressed Fresco
Do not miss this one of a kind plaster and decorative painting workshop offered only at Vigini Studios, San Antonio. The Villa Livia is an age old fresco now displayed in the Palazzo Massimo in Rome, the National Museum of Art. It depicts a traditional and ancient Roman garden scene over plaster. This is a panel that we normally create in our summer workshop in Italy, but due to its' popularity, we now offer it in San Antonio exclusively. In this workshop, students will recreate the look of this ancient fresco using washes of magnificent blues and greens over a base of aged plaster mixed with lime. Essential exercises in foliage design, natural landscape, and perspective as well as plaster techniques will be taught using templates and/or stencils. Designs will then be completed with instructors' assistance If you want to learn about true Italian fresco and design using contemporary products to facilitate your profits, this workshop is for you. Do not delay! Take three days out of your life to learn the secret of imitating true fresco from an Italian master. Register now to secure your space.
