Perspective, Renderings and color Theory: Learn How to Design a Mural

Maquette

Learn how professional craftsmen prepare watercolor renderings to submit to clients for all aspects of decorative painting and faux finishing and especially for murals and trompe l’oeil.  Renderings benefit the artist in color, concept and ability to communicate with the client.

Perspective and Renderings is essential for any artist who wants to enhance their knowledge of mural and trompe l'oeil design.  Students will learn how to create a mural from conception through the creation of a water color scale renderings or Maquettes.  In the first part of the class, students will learn the basic rules of classical perspective.  The important theories of one, two, and multiple point perspective will be examined.  Topics include dimensions, spatial structure through perspective, color theory and coordination, and visual research of photographic references.  Make your own business flourish by working more productively with designers and clients.  A set of brushes is included in the workshop.
