Refined and Gilded Furniture Finishes
 

Realistic simulations of burl wood, malachite, chinnoiserie, marquetry, and tortoise shell, lusterstone,  etc. enhanced by gilded finishes will be covered to produce uniquely elegant inlaid panels and intricate moldings.  Traditional and contemporary methods of applying metal leaf, including decorative patination and broken leaf will be demonstrated. 

These finishes have impressed clients of all types and have given our students an edge over other finishers.  This class will emphasize proper surface preparation of furniture, cabinetry and many other decorative surfaces.  Using these techniques, we have enhanced the beauty of private aircrafts, yachts thereby opening up our market.
