Complimenting our program, our school also utilizes traditional mediums and glazes, specifically in our foreign programs. Vigini Studios, hosts of the International Conference of Decorative Painters Salon 2002, is an atelier and school of faux finishing and European style decorative painting with specialties in the areas of mural painting, trompe l'oeil, grottesca, and Venetian plaster finishes. As well as our signature courses, a full compliment of faux finishing and decorative painting workshops is offered for the beginner to the accomplished professional. Our European oriented curriculum includes more varied workshops based on true craftsmanship. We enjoy the knowledge that our guest teachers bring to our students. In certain courses, participants work on an actual walls and occasionally have the opportunity to assist and observe in outside contracting. The Faux Effects™ product line consists of more than 150 interactive products which clearly give the advantage to faux and decorative artisans, not only because of the endless and superior finishes available, but also because of the cost effectiveness associated with a revolutionary water based system.
