Bio  World
renowned master of his craft, a "peintre decorateur" for more than
thirty-five years, Yannick Guegan teaches the traditional techniques of
decorative painting to international students at Mesquier-Quimiac in
Brittany, France where he runs Institut Guegan. Previously as a teacher
at the Institut Superieure de Peintre Decorative in Paris, (
www.ipedec.com ) Nicola had the
unique opportunity to study with Yannick.
Yannick was awarded by the French government the distinctive title of "Meilleur Ouvrier de France", Best Craftsman Award in the decorative painting trade. He is also the co-author of The Handbook of Painted Decoration. For this book Nicola gladly accepted the offer to pen the Forward while still living in the Seattle area.
